Lamar County Middle School Trojans Are CHAMPIONS!

I am so proud of our Lamar County Middle School Trojan's Football Team! I am especially proud of #65, My son, Austin O'Pry!! They have had an outstanding season this year. They went all season without a loss and they won their Middle School Region. They went on to win two playoff games and last night they went to the Championship Game. They played Carver Road Middle School at Griffin Memorial Stadium. We won the toss and chose to receive the ball. Our #9, Lance Austin, ran it back 70 yards for a TOUCHDOWN! The extra point was no good, but we were ahead 6-0 the first play of the game. Just a few minutes later the Carver Road Eagles struck back and scored tying the game 6-6. It stayed tied throughout the first half into halftime as well as through the 3rd quarter. The 4th quarter is when the Trojans would strike again. They scored a touchdown to make it 12-6 with a little over 7 minutes to go in the game. Then with a little more than 4 minutes to go the Trojan's struck again and added the extra point making the score 20-6. The Trojan's held on for the rest of the game and they won the Championship! They are now the Central Georgia Middle School Athletic League Champions!!!!!!! They finished the season undefeated. Austin may not have gotten as much playing time as others, but he would hit his marks and make his tackles when needed. I am so proud of him and look forward to watching him play sports for years to come.

Carissa Lost 2 Teeth in a week!

Hi all, I guess I need to start posting more and try to keep this updated. Sorry it's been so long. I will try to do better, ;). Carissa is 6 years old and she FINALLY lost her first tooth (10/14/09)....... then her second (10/21/09)....... both in a week. They had been loose for a while and she would twist'em and turn'em so she pretty much worked them out herself. Wayne pulled both teeth and out of 5 kids, Cariisa's teeth came out easier than any, lol. She lost her two bottom front teeth as you can see in the picture. The Tooth Fairy will surely go broke at this rate.
